Scrapbooks anyone?

Bring Us Your Clippings

Don't let those yellowing newspaper clippings disintegrate into dust and forever be lost. Let us scan them into our files and preserve them forever! Even a single scrapbook page has value to us.

Rankin County Historical Society

Resources for researching Rankin County history and genealogy include materials stored at the Brandon Public Library. Our Society was begun by a group of people led by Sara Richardson, who were determined that the history of Rankin County should be preserved. Toward that end, the organizational meeting of the Rankin County Historical Society was held on May 27, 1978, at the courthouse in Brandon.

The Rankin County Historical Society buildings and museum are located behind the Brandon Library in City Park at the back of the parking circle. They are open for tours by appointment only.
